Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using My Family Dinners. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the My Family Dinners mobile application and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Placeholder notice: this page contains draft terms and is not yet legal advice or a final agreement. Final language will be published before public launch.
Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. The Service is designed for adults planning meals for a household.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@myfamilydinners.com if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
Your content
Recipes, meal plans, notes, and lists you create or import remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and anyone you share a family account with.
Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, and don't use the Service to store anything unlawful.
Subscriptions and billing
My Family Dinners offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
Acceptable use
Please don't: reverse engineer the app, scrape or bulk-download recipe content, resell access, interfere with our infrastructure, or use the Service to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
Recipes, nutrition, and allergies
Recipes and dietary filters are provided for convenience and are not medical or nutritional advice. Always verify ingredients and packaging yourself, particularly where allergies are involved. We are not responsible for adverse reactions to food prepared using the Service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a material change that reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time — see account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If the changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
